We are delighted to introduce two wonderful new veterinarians who have recently joined our team. Both bring a strong passion for animal care, a love of learning, and a genuine commitment to building meaningful relationships with clients and their pets.
Dr Jess Parris
Dr Jess Parris joins us as a small animal veterinarian and is excited to be working along Tasmania’s beautiful northern coast. Originally from Melbourne, Jess moved to Perth to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University.
Jess has known from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian, growing up surrounded by a lively mix of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and chickens. This early experience fostered her deep love for animal care and sparked her curiosity to learn more about animal health and wellbeing.
She has developed a strong interest in small animal medicine, as well as wildlife and conservation. Jess is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and is particularly looking forward to building supportive, lasting relationships with both clients and their pets.
Outside of the clinic, Jess enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time at the beach. She is especially excited to explore Tasmania’s stunning natural landscapes.
Dr Sarah Girdler
Dr Sarah Girdler is a small animal veterinarian who is excited to begin her career serving the Devonport and Burnie communities. Born and raised in Perth, Sarah developed her love for animals early in life while spending time on her grandparents’ sheep farm in Albany.
She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Murdoch University, where she thoroughly enjoyed her studies and developed a strong foundation in veterinary care. Sarah has a keen interest in small animal medicine and is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she sees.
In her spare time, Sarah is looking forward to exploring Tasmania’s northern coastline, discovering new hiking spots, and experiencing the region’s incredible wildlife.
We are thrilled to have both Jess and Sarah join our team and look forward to the care, enthusiasm, and expertise they will bring to our clinic and community.
